전쟁에 영향을 미칠 정도로 큰 힘을 갖게 된 일론 머스크의 위성 인터넷 스타링크가 모 회사인 스페이스X 의 성장을 이끌 것이라는 전망이 나왔다.
6일 블룸버그 통신에 따르면 올해 스페이스X 의 매출은 로켓 발사 사업과 스타링크 서비스를 합쳐서 90억달러(11조원)를 기록할 것으로 예상된다. 이중 상당 규모가 스타링크에서 나왔다.
지난해 스타링크 매출이 14억달러(1조8000억원)였던 것을 감안하면 빠른 성장이다. 스페이스X 관계자에 따르면 내년에는 스타링크만 100억달러의 매출을 기록할 것으로 보고 있다. 전체 스페이스X 매출은 150억달러(약 20조원)로 관계자는 예상하고 있다.
